Monkeying Around

Woo Hoo!!! I had enough yarn. There wasn't much left of either the Trekking or the natural but in the end it was all good. Mandy says hers are prettier, but the only difference between them is, mine are 1" longer in the foot (and the 4 extra stitches for my fatter legs and feet).

So, stats for mine are: 68 stitches, US1 dpn's, Regia Red and Natural with Trekking 285.

Stats for Mandy's: 64 stitches, US1 dpn's, same yarn.

As you can see our feet love them and each other (George was unavailable for the photo shoot)!

I've finished the gusset decreases on the second Victorian Swag sock so I should be finishing those sometime tomorrow (that will make my 5th pair of socks I've finished this month...that may be a record for me). Well, that's it for now. More later.

I will be expecting my pair at Christmas ... Right??? They look great and lucky Mandy. Tell her she better wear them or else!!!!

Lauren asked me to make her Knee Socks :) I will have to give that some thought.

The socks look great! Wow...5 pair in one month? Lately I'll be lucky to get one pair done in a few month, lol. I don't think I'll be getting my Yukon Leaves socks done this month...with only about 5 more days left (not countin today), I doubt that is going to happen...

They are adorable. You did a great job. They need an embroidered face on them. ;)

Oh, I love these socks!! Thanks for all the stats! I think I may need to try these someday. You are a sock knitting machine :-)

I love them! Now you just need to make that monkey hat on Knitty! I've always wanted to make a sock monkey too, maybe when I get some more of my UFO's out of the basket, I just might try one!

Those socks are awesome! What could be better than the combination of sock + monkey + socks? ;) Enjoy.
