I finally finished the Charade socks today. They didn't lanquish as long as the Edelweiss Socks (almost a year)...I began them on 8/10/07, but then I got a bad case of startitis and started and finished up a whole bunch of other socks in between. So stats are: Lorna's Laces Child's Play colorway (this yarn striped so differently on the feet, it is amazing. I did join the second ball on the gusset of the second sock though, it is the one on the bottom) , 64 stitches on US1 dpn's. I chose to not carry the design down the foot.
I worked on Mandy's mitts today. Finished the first and started the second. I'm using Knit Picks Simple Stripes in the Sweet Tart colorway (this yarn has been discontinued). These will be stocking stuffers for her (I'm so good, already starting my Christmas knitting).
I got my invite to Ravelry on Friday, my user name is karenm. Boy is there a lot to do there, I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Your socks are gorgeous! The mitts are looking great too. Thanks for the two links to those patterns...I've bookmarked them for future!
The socks and the mitts are very pretty. You are just cruising right along with the 52 socks
The socks and mitts look great. Love the bright colors.
I love the way the mits turned out with that yarn. And kudos for starting so soon on holiday knitting.
The socks and mitts look great, as always!! See you on Ravelry :-)
I like my socks plain on the foot part, it just feels better in shoes to me. I made some wristlets with that same yarn & color! Love that pattern! Another "gotta do" to add to my list! LOL!
Love the socks and mitts--they are both gorgeous!! It's fun seeing you at Ravelry--it is an amazing site--I can't believe how it all links together--they did an amazing job putting that together, didn't they?
I took one look at the mitts, and thought "OMG, I don't care if it's wool, I *must* get some of that". Of course it's been discontinued! Oh well... but they're gonna be lovely!
Hey , Mandy's mitts are lovely. Great knitting. Your sock count is amazing! I'll be you can make a plain old sock without looking at a pattern at all.
I love the colors in the discontinued Knit Picks yarn. Oh well, since I haven't finished a pair of socks in months, I really don't deserve any new sock yarn anyway.....except for the two skeins that came in the mail yesterday.
